There is some good news for the KFC’s chicken buckets lovers in the US. 5,500 of KFC’s US restaurants have stopped frying chicken in artery-clogging trans fat. And, they insist that the change in cooking oils will not change how its fried chicken tastes as they say “We have safeguarded the recipe and the flavor profile”.
Soyabean oil, the new cooking oil to be used costs more, but the chain stated that it will absorb the extra expense and not pass it to the customers. And, KFC expects this health conscious move to bring in more people to its outlets.
